Abilities Expo showcases a wide range of events so you can try sports and dance, discover ways to be fit, and connect to programs in the local area.

All events take place in the Auti Angel Events Arena unless otherwise noted.

Come on by to try some adaptive sports! Ability360 Sports and Fitness will have equipment and staff on hand to allow you to demo a variety of sports. The zone is open during all show open hours. Featured sports will include pop-shot basketball, table tennis, adaptive rowing, a ski erg, crank cycles, corn hole and more!

Mark has a spinal cord injury (SCI) and is an adventure athlete, speaker, and author. Climb the wall at Abilities Expo LA using Mark's innovative adaptive climbing techniques and gear! Service dogs can help you achieve more independence in your life. Assisting with all types of tasks, from picking up a cell phone to providing physical stability to counting money, and more! Service dogs are available for people with many different disabilities, including vision and hearing loss, mobility, Autism, and seizure/allergy alert. Learn how one acquires a service dog, support available to assist with covering the costs, and what to expect from your service dog provider organization.

Adaptive Standing Tennis

Adaptive Standing Tennis is a form of tennis for individuals with physical disability who play the sport of tennis standing, or ambulatory. This newly emerged form of tennis allows individuals with physical challenges such as amputations, cerebral palsy, or hemiparesis to play tennis. Come discover this new sport, try it for yourself, and be part of the growth of adaptive sports. All abilities welcome!

Wheelchair rugby is often described as a combination of football, hockey and basketball in a wheelchair. Any individual with impairments in three or more extremities may be eligible to play. This may include but is not limited to spinal cord injury, post-polio and cerebral palsy. Enjoy a demo of this dynamic sport!

Learn about the sport of adaptive gymnastics! This sport is a great way for kids to learn skills and socialize with peers. Gymnastics builds flexibility and strength and helps with setting goals. The sport is adaptive and accessible to children with all levels of ability. Come discover what is possible, see and try some of the equipment, and meet members of the adaptive gymnastics program at Aspire Kids Sports. There is no age requirement to this sport, and everyone is welcome! Plus, Aspire Kids Sports offers many additional programs - offering options for all the children in your family!
