A LESSON IN PERSPECTIVE:

A devastating mountain bike accident left him paralyzed from the neck down. In the longest second of his life, Rod became a quadriplegic. Eight months later, against every odd, he walked out of the hospital.

Faithfully striving each day to accept his new plight, he turned his limitations into possibilities. The long and difficult days turned into grueling months at the hospital. Despite his quadriplegia, he never gave up the hard work, nor the hope that he would walk again. Darkness, depression, fear, loneliness, sorrow, hopelessness, anger, helplessness, he faced them all with the belief that this accident was definitively a part of his life’s path.

HOW?

Rod will be joined by Farah, author of the book THE WALKING QUAD and also the primary caregiver for Rod during his time of recovery. They will share in depth, the details of those eight months in the hospital. They will talk about the one foundational element that was the linchpin in Rod’s entire journey of recovery. Also, there will be time for you to ask questions and have a real conversation with them during the workshop.

No matter the shape, depth, breadth and weight of your own hardships, Rod’s story will move you in ways you cannot imagine. Heal you in places you didn’t know were broken. Lead you from the lowest valleys of grief and raise you up to the highest peaks of hope.
