Meet the speakers for events at Abilities Expo - presenters of the all-day activities, demonstrations, and special events at the show! They are people whose individual lives are as relevant to the Community as the issues they are addressing. Our speakers have years of experience and are highly knowledgeable in their fields. Many are recognized nationally and within their state for their ongoing work with people with disabilities. All our speakers have apparent and non-apparent disabilities, work in the disability field, or are the sibling or parent of a person with disabilities.

Jeff Bourns

American Amputee Tennis Player

Jeff Bourns

Jeff Bourns is an American amputee tennis player who helped popularize and pioneer the growth and development of organized Adaptive Standing Tennis sport. He retired from competition with a World Rank of 4 and top ranked American in his classification in 2019. Bourns competed at international level tournaments and events in this newly organized category of play in tennis, Adaptive Standing Tennis. Jeff retired in 2019 with a World Rank of 4 in his category and was the first American to compete internationally in this newly emerging category of organized tennis. He now travels the country to introduce people to this new sport and educates via resources on his website.

Dave Clark

Dave Clark

Dave Clark is the inspiration for Disability, Dream & Do (D3)! As the only professional baseball player to pitch and play from crutches, he is a true role model for his Dream & Do attitude. Dave has been a coach, manager, scout and owner at the highest levels of professional baseball during his 40+ year career in sports. He is an author and inspirational speaker. He has participated at every level of the game of baseball, including Envoy Coach of Major League International. Pitching professionally from his crutches is just part of his amazing story. Doug Cornfield

Doug Cornfield is the Director of Disability, Dream & Do (D3) and the D3Day sports camps, created with Dave Clark. In college he was a top contender in track and field, and a scholarship athlete at the University of Georgia. His professional experience includes time spent in both the family entertainment industry and as a senior financial advisor for Merrill Lynch. More recently he partnered with Dave Clark to organize their company and run D3Day events, where the duo create opportunities for children and young adults with special needs to interact with professional sports players and compete with no limitations. He is a speaker and recent author of the children's book, A Pound of Kindness. Doug is married to Jackie and their family includes seven children, one of whom was born with no arms, and three grandchildren.

Disability, Dream & Do

Disability Dream & Do (D3) Sports Events for children and young adults with professional teams. We don't just dream about success we demonstrate that success is obtainable for all! Disability Dream & Do (D3) is a pro style practice with professional players at stadiums across the country. D3 participants have an opportunity to hit, throw, catch, and run the bases with instruction from the best regardless of anyone's limitations. D3 puts on camps all over the country and share their amazing stories as well as inspire others to look past a disability and turn it into an ability.

WOW Wheelchair Fitness

Justin Graham

Justin Graham, creator of WOW Wheelchair Fitness, is a Certified Personal Trainer who has been working with special needs populations since 2018. He has taught classes with the PVA, Triumph Sports Festival, Ability 360 in Phoenix, Spina Bifida Association, and Abilities Expos shows around the country. His dynamic charm attracts everyone to join his wheelchair fitness classes, combining strength training with dance, pom-poms and just plain fun! Justin teaches daily classes on a virtual platform and excels at enticing even the shyest student to play along and get valuable exercise. Based in Phoenix, Justin also teaches live classes and one-on-one personal training. But it is his joyous energy that is the gift, bringing people of all ages and abilities together to dance with their peers.

Public awareness and education are very important to CDK – so important that they travel the country to talk to students of all grade levels, civic groups, religious groups, and businesses about assistance dogs. CDK also offers different ways to help educate the public about service dogs including Educational Presentations, Booth Event Participation, Americans with Disability (ADA) consulting. Hi, I'm Isabella, a future makeup artist and I have Autism. I want to dispel the "DIS" in disABILITY! I've loved art ever since I could hold a crayon. It's always been a therapeutic outlet for me. While I still paint and draw, my newfound love is makeup artistry. I started just before my 14th birthday, and it's been my passion ever since. At only 15 years old I am looking forward to turning this into a career, along with being an art therapist to help other kids like me.

USTA Florida Wheelchair Tennis

USTA Florida Wheelchair Tennis is the hub of all things Florida wheelchair tennis. As a volunteer organization we not only help people play tennis; we also help build communities. Our mission is to promote and develop tennis for all! From youth to college to adult, we make tennis fun for all.
