James “No Limb Jim” Lea is a multiple amputee, inventor, disaster response professional, and motivational speaker whose life reflects Faith, resilience, and purpose. After contracting West Nile Virus that attacked his mitral valve, he suffered life-threatening complications from heart surgery and spent two months in a coma and 62 days on ECMO, a machine that kept him alive when his heart and lungs could not. When he woke, both legs and his fingers and thumbs were dead, hard, and mummified. He was facing multiple amputations and an uncertain future. Refusing to let loss define him, Jim chose to rebuild his life and dedicate it to helping others through innovation, perseverance, and Faith in God.

An engineer and creator at heart, Jim founded a family business that designs and builds deployable communications and air-traffic awareness systems used around the world in emergency and field operations. He serves as a Strike Team Leader and Field Operations Chief for AERObridge, a nonprofit organization that coordinates general aviation airlifts in disaster zones. His work has taken him from hurricane-stricken coastlines to earthquake-devastated Haiti, where he helps restore communications, organize logistics, and bring vital aid to communities in need.

Through his No Limb Jim platform, YouTube channel, and speaking events, Jim shares a message of hope, perseverance, and Faith. His story, Beyond Limbs – Unlimited Life, reminds audiences that adversity can ignite purpose and that life’s greatest limitations often reveal its greatest possibilities.
