When Head Lice Happens, Choose Natroba™ (Spinosad): A Prescription Shampoo You Apply at Home

For families managing complex medical needs, a head lice diagnosis adds one more thing to an already full plate. Natroba™ (Spinosad) Topical Suspension 0.9% is a prescription head lice treatment you apply at home, without time-consuming visits to a lice removal clinic. It is FDA-approved for adults and children 6 months and older and works in a single application with no nit combing required. A licensed clinician can prescribe it online, and it can be delivered to your door or picked up at your local pharmacy.

Why Choose Natroba™ Instead of OTC Alternatives:

  • Natroba™ is a prescription product that works to get rid of head lice. With a single, 10-minute application you do at home. Plus there’s no nit combing required with Natroba™.
  • The OTC (over-the-counter) alternatives mostly turn out to be ineffective. Over 98% of head lice in the U.S. are now resistant to over-the-counter (OTC) treatments like Nix and RID. These OTC options also require the skilled use of a specific comb to remove the eggs (called nits) from the hair. Natroba doesn’t require this messy and challenging step.
  • In head-to-head clinical studies, 86.7% of patients using Natroba were lice-free at Day 14, compared with 42.9% for permethrin 1%.
  • NatrobaTM is covered by most insurance plans, including many Medicaid programs. You see your out-of-pocket cost before you commit.
