United Spinal Association Becomes the Official Content Provider for Abilities Expo

Abilities Expo, the premier event dedicated to showcasing innovative products, services and resources for the disability community, is thrilled to announce that United Spinal Association has been appointed to spearhead the onsite programming for the expos.

The Abilities Expo logo is overlayed on an image of a packed events arena. In the Abilities Expo logo, the word Abilities is an orange gradation from light orange at the top to red-orange at the bottom. The word Expo is purple with a swoop extending from the X in Expo and encompassing both words.

Abilities Expo Selects United Spinal to Curate Onsite Education and Adaptive Events

“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to coordinate the Abilities Expo’s programming,” says Vincenzo Piscopo, CEO & President, United Spinal Association. “We look forward to continuing the Expo’s long tradition of providing diverse workshops and presentations to meet the needs of its hundreds of thousands of attendees with disabilities, their friends and families, and service providers.”

At each Expo, attendees enjoy an array of inclusive events, ranging from adaptive sports and dance to service dog demonstrations and beyond. Presented by local organizations, these demos offer an immersive experience as well as opportunities to learn how to pursue newfound interests year-round.

The info-packed workshop series, led by experts in their fields, feature topics relevant to the disability community like accessible travel, home design, financial planning, assistive technology, how to source funds and more.

Disability Advocate Bids Fond Farewell

“Directing the educational programs for Abilities Expo has been a highlight of my event production career. Of the many projects I’ve been contracted for, this one has been very special. With nearly 100 shows completed over 13 years, I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with—the many presenters who shared their knowledge with attendees, the loyal exhibitor base, and the Abilities Expo team and ownership,” said Sarah Galbraith Laucks, outgoing education & events director. “While it’s time for me to pursue new opportunities, I am excited that the United Spinal Association team is replacing me. I look forward to what comes next for Abilities Expo as they continue to serve the disability community.”
