Nick Wilson is a multi-award winner and known as ‘Disabled Adventurer’. He is a disabled war veteran, accessibility advocate and content creator, and one of the UK’s most recognisable voices in accessible tourism and adaptive wheeled adventuring.
Nick doesn’t “talk about access” from a distance, he lives it, tests it, and films it. Through his practical access videos (seen by 24+ million in 2025), he helps venues and destinations communicate their access information in a visual and engaging manner which: empowers people to make an informed decision, builds trust, increases footfall, and gives people the confidence to visit.
Nick is extremely passionate about revolutionizing outdoor adventure, to make it more inclusive and accessible for all, through calling for greater disabled representation, driving the innovation of all-terrain powerchairs, alongside batteries with real world 50km ranges and rapid charging, and ensuring it is available to all.
He is pioneering Adaptive Off-Roading and Adaptive All-Terrain Expeditions, using currently available all-terrain powerchairs to provide people with thrilling experiences of riding them across varying terrains, alongside a pop-up circuit used for town centres and indoor exhibitions. Whilst also, working towards the delivery of multi-day wheeled expeditions, enabling disabled people and wounded veterans access areas of the wild outdoors never before thought possible and benefit from life changing experiences.
His achievements include becoming the first powerchair user to; complete 96km of the Ridgeway National Trail, and achieve a solo ascent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in an all-terrain powerchair prototype, proving with inclusive design, the right support, and mindset, outdoor adventures can be accessible for all.
