Michele Westmaas is a parent of an adult self-advocate, a longtime Illinois disability advocate, and a financial advisor who works with families navigating the lifelong questions that come with disability—planning for financial security, supporting independence, and preparing for the future. Drawing on both lived experience and professional practice, Michele helps families, and when appropriate the professionals supporting them, coordinate practical planning strategies such as special needs trusts, ABLE accounts, beneficiary designations, and retirement and insurance planning while safeguarding eligibility for public benefits.
