Dan McConchie is the CEO of the Accessibility Policy Institute and a former Illinois State Senator. Following a 2007 hit-and-run accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury, Dan became the first paraplegic to win a state-level office in Illinois. During his decade in the Senate, he championed landmark legislation for disability rights and accessibility. A military veteran and public policy expert with over 25 years of experience, Dan now leads national efforts to remove barriers for the disability community through model legislation and advocacy.
