Abilities Expo and Sweet Destinations Travel Team by Dream Vacations are raffling off three accessible cruises, one each day of the show!

That’s right… you could sail from Galveston to paradise just for showing up.

At Abilities Expo, ANYONE can climb! Take your adventures to new heights—literally—with the all-inclusive rock wall led by Guinness record-holding Paralympian Mark Wellman.

This isn’t just any rock wall—Mark, a pioneer in adaptive sports, actually designed the adaptive climbing equipment that makes it possible for people of all abilities to conquer the climb.

Meet your favorite superheroes and princesses! Causeplay Alliance Project will be at Abilities Expo Houston on Saturday, August 1 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Meet them as they walk throughout the Expo Hall bringing magic, smiles and fun with them!

Join us at the workshop area for a powerful screening of The Power To Move, followed by an exclusive Q&A with Jonathan Howe, the secretary of the Mobility Independence Foundation. He will share his insights on democratizing mobility equipment, building sustainable community-driven solutions and empowering individuals through repairable, accessible technology.

Get ready to get your dance on at the Silent Disco! This groovy dance party will be at Booth #341 on Friday from 12pm-3pm!

The Silent Disco is an event where people can enjoy themselves on the dance floor to music played through special wireless headphones instead of loud speakers. Enjoy personalized channels and a crowd where everyone can dance to their own beat.

Discogoers can control the volume and audio channels on their headphones, and they can also remove them for a moment of silence.


To create a more welcoming experience for all, Abilities Expo will offer early access from 10am to 11am on Sunday, August 2 for individuals with sensory disabilities who may find the typical Expo environment overwhelming. This quiet hour will feature dimmed lighting, reduced noise and fewer crowds, providing a calm and supportive space to explore the event before general admission begins.

Stop by the Texas Technology Access Program space at Booth #933 to explore tools that support all types of disabilities—at home, work, school and beyond. Try out devices, ask questions and get expert advice from TTAP specialists.

From simple tools to advanced software, we’ve got hands-on solutions to match your needs and boost your independence!

A variety of different assistive technologies are on display at the Ability Tools AT Showcase at Abilities Expo.

The vibrant crew at Whimsy Word Search flips the script on ability with art, fun and community at Booth #541. From wild word games to electic artisty from artists with disabilities, they’re all about making sure everyone gets to create, grow and shine.

Pride Mobility is sponsoring complimentary loaner scooters on a first-come; first-served basis for use on the show floor. Any attendee 18 years or older with a government-issued photo ID can swing by the registration area to pick up their scooter. This service is available during show days and hours until 2:00 pm on Sunday, the final day of the event.

Free maintenance will be provided on a first come, first served basis by Sunrise Medical at Booth #807. This service will end one hour before the show ends each day.

Join us before the show opens on Saturday at 10:15am for an exclusive travel workshop with Cory Lee! In this workshop, accessible travel blogger and influencer Cory Lee will guide you through how to explore the world confidently as a wheelchair user. You will learn practical tips for making air travel smoother, booking hotel rooms that are truly accessible, and choosing wheelchair-friendly tour companies you can trust. By the end of the session, you will feel informed, empowered, and ready to plan your next adventure with confidence.

The workshop will conclude with a live Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and get personalized advice about traveling with a wheelchair. Cory will also have a travel workshop on Friday durng show hours.

Essa stands for Emotional Support Stuffed Animal, and they can be a great alternative for a service animal or just a fluffy friend to be by your side! They can help with all different needs and ages and are great to customize and show your style.

There will be American Sign Language interpretation services available to assist anyone requiring sign language translation at the Accessibility Help Desk in the Lobby in front of the Exhibit Hall. This is a complimentary service and is offered on a first come, first served basis for up to 40 minutes during show days and hours.

Nook is bringing a Mobile Sensory Room to MR 109 at Abilities Expo! Stop by Booth #819 and relax in the Sensory Nook in case you find the show floor to be too overstimulating. We will also have sensory bags available at the registration area.
