This complimentary course requires registration at Abilities Expo in addition to registration with Pride Mobility / Quantum Rehab. Space is limited and seats are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
Prerequisites:
Participants should have a general understanding of seating and wheeled mobility evaluations and a working knowledge of power mobility devices.

Course Description:
Power wheelchair drive controls are constantly evolving with advancing technology. There is a wide range of these products and complex rehab equipment professionals often have limited exposure to the options that are available. This class will provide evaluating clinicians, Assistive Technology Professionals, and other seating/mobility professionals with knowledge of various drive control options and programming options available to provide maximal benefit to the end user.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of the course the participant:
- Name at least 4 clinical considerations involved in the selection of power tilt, power recline and power leg elevation.
- List at least 3 benefits of a power seat elevation system to document the medical purpose for individuals with permanent disabilities.
- Identify a minimum of 3 clinical indications for use of power seat elevation with anterior tilt.
- Given evaluation findings, design a treatment plan for power positioning intervention.
