Schaumburg Township's Disability Services provides assistance with social services, information and referrals, and programming for residents with disabilities. Schaumburg Township also serves as an Illinois Telecommunication Access Corporation (ITAC) selection center. The ITAC program provides a free amplified phone to any Illinois resident who is hard of hearing. Residents can call and schedule an appointment to come and test the phones available to find the one that is right for them.

Shady Oaks Camp is a 501c3, 8 week residential summer camp for adults and children with all disabilities. SOC is one of the only camps of it's type still in existence that is owned and operated by the parents and provides a 1:1 ratio. Campers participate in adaptive activities, games, and talent shows. SOC is also unique in that many of its staff are from all over the world, which provides an international feel to its program.
