Rod was born and raised in a small town in Texas. But from a young age, he had an insatiable passion to know the world outside the sphere of his own cocooned borders. Throughout college, he cultivated this love for people of other cultures. This love for the world led him, with his wife and his young son to move to London, England. They remained in the UK after a mountain bike accident left him quadriplegic. His continued need for further rehabilitation brought them back to the States.
Presently, he is living in Arizona. He is a father, a theologian, a life coach, and most of all a natural born teacher at heart. His spirit truly shines the brightest when he is in a position to lead others to the light of the truth of all things spiritual and physical.
His journey into the world of disability has opened his eyes and led his heart to see life truer than anything else ever has. There’s a quote from Rod in the book, THE WALKING QUAD, “I never felt more alive than when I was quadriplegic.”
