Cindy Kolbe and her daughter, who is a wheelchair user, smile at the camera next to each other

The most human of all jobs is caregiving, handed down through our heritage and woven through our hearts. Some of us are impacted by caregiving more than others. Caring for a child with a disability is both a meaningful expression of love and a day-to-day challenge that can be overwhelming. Learn helpful strategies and out-of-the-box tips from a lifelong disability advocate who recently retired from a caregiving career in many settings, from a state institution to group homes to her own home—after her daughter sustained a spinal cord injury at 14 years old. Recharge with a wealth of experience gathered from the disability community. Take your pick of the strategies and find what works best for you. You’ll also learn about the best free resources (including apps and podcasts) to help you “Just Keep Swimming!”
