More than ever assistance dogs are meeting the needs of people with different disabilities. Meet several assistance dogs and their human partners. Watch them demonstrate the many ways they work together to achieve independence in various areas of their lives. Following the demo, join us to learn some of the basic commands for the dogs.
How Horses Benefit People with Disabilities

There are a many ways that horses can be used in therapeutic and recreational environments to support people with physical, cognitive or emotional disabilities. Join us for an overview of the types of equine assisted activities and therapies that are available, including traditional Adaptive Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Hippotherapy, horsemanship for all, Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy, and summer camps for children of ALL abilities. Learn how to identify which therapy may be appropriate to your specific needs as well as how to located a program. Common questions will also be addressed such as safety, certification, and the many benefits of interacting with horses.
